Water features add a dynamic and interactive element to playgrounds, making them particularly appealing during hot weather. Additionally, fountains can double as hydration stations, teaching children the importance of water conservation.
- Install fountains with a tap height of 80–90 cm, with 70 cm of free space below for wheelchair access.
- Create splash zones with interactive jets or streams that are easy to activate with minimal force.
- Use permeable surfaces around water features to prevent puddling or flooding.
- Add signs to teach children about water-saving practices.
