Accessible Dressing Rooms and Showers
To promote an inclusive beach environment, dressing rooms and showers should be designed to meet the diverse mobility needs of all users, ensuring functionality and independence.
- At least one accessible dressing room and outdoor shower should be provided for every ten units.
- Dressing rooms must include benches with backrests, foldable armrests, and clear lateral transfer spaces (minimum 80 cm wide and 120 cm deep).
- Showers should feature level flooring with a slope of no more than 2% and seating with appropriate dimensions for accessibility.
- Connect all dressing rooms and showers to accessible pathways.
