Guarantee the permeability of the adjacent building

In many cases, the linearity of these parks corresponds to their location adjacent to a linear infrastructure: railway network, river, highway, etc. In most cases, this will mean that the linear park does not adjoin the urban fabric on one of its boundaries, and therefore, results in less safety for users. That is why it is very important to permeabilize its adjacent strip with the urban fabric.

  • Enforce greater permeability of adjacent buildings with construction regulations.
  • Add multiple accesses.
  • Adequately illuminate the perimeter band of the park.
  • Ensure visibility by eliminating opaque objects.
  • Implement multiple bus or public transportation stops near the entrances.
  • Install bicycle parking near the entrances.
  • Activate the perimeter streets allowing businesses or hospitality, among others.
  • Ensure that there are parking spaces for people with reduced or limited mobility
  • Reserve parking for taxi stations.
